A cyber space to discuss the development of an Indigenous psychology.
Indigenous psychology is closely aligned with a Māori development agenda, the goal of which is to create psychology in a way that maintains a unique Māori cultural heritage, and makes for a better collective future. Māori knowledge of psychology, provides an important theoretical space from which can create psychological theories, and reconnect ourselves to traditional and everyday psychological experiences. We might wish to use traditional knowledge to inform our ideas about research, practice and teaching. We might also incorporate global knowledge to do our work. In any case, this site is to discuss Indigenous psychology and its application to our people.
